Ricardo Castreje was born in Argentina, but he’s been living in Montreal since 1977. He came to this country because he had family here, and when he finally arrived he decided to stay. Shortly after settling he opened Atelier de Restauration Ricardo in Westmount in 1978. Today he operates out of a small location on Rue Notre-Dame where he has his workshop in the back, and a showroom piled high with various rarities and restored items in the front .
Ricardo has many decades of experience under his belt making him a veteran in his craft. He even does work for the New York Metropolitan Museum and has clients around the world calling on his services. With a rolodex that diverse, it’s fair to say that he’s one of the best.
