Zully Alvarado, owner of Botëka, bought Silhouette Concept spa while she was still employed there. The former owners, originally from France and who had settled in Quebec for nine years, finally had enough of Quebec winters and decided to return to France. "I was in the right place at the right time," recounts Zully. "I was experiencing a year full of changes and opportunities, and the timing was perfect. I decided to make the leap."
At the time, the spa was located on Saint-Laurent Boulevard corner Fairmount. It has since moved to another location on Saint-Laurent, but just north of Saint-Viateur Street.
The new name, Botëka, certainly arouses curiosity. It is derived from the word beauty. In addition to a new location, Zully wanted her company to have a new name with a beautiful sound, with no connection to the former business. Mission accomplished!
