Pascale André had been dreaming of opening a bookstore and art space for a long time. Her many years of experience with art hive communities gave her the inspiration and in the spring of 2015, she opened La flèche rouge - librairie atelier de quartier. "In contact with that universe, I was inspired to open my place, make it accessible, root it in its neighbourhood, make it alive, inhabited and warm," she recalls.
Located on Ontario Street, La flèche rouge is a bookstore, art space and a natural part of the network of Canadian art hives, a place that welcomes anyone as an artist, where relationships within a community are built by promoting inclusion, dialogue and exchange.
