MacLean Wiedemann can trace its origins back to the early days of Medicine Hat. The firm continues the tradition first established over 90 years ago by R. B. Davidson and Walter Gow. The firm began to take its present form in the 1960s when Roy Wiedemann and Dave MacLean assumed the practice of Mr. Gow's successors, Mahoney and Co. and later that of Mr. A. Y. Spivack. Many lawyers have been members of the firm or its predecessors over the years including J.G. Kidd, J. Mahoney, G. Eggerston, W.Z. Brown, E.W.N. (Skip) Macdonald, and Dee Pitcher.
