Exhibits include the history of the Indigenous & Metis people of the Athabasca Valley; the fur trade-including David Thompson, one of Canada’s foremost explorers; the railway; early mountaineering- including the legend of the Silver Ice Axe & the development of tourism in JNP. Exhibits in our Showcase Gallery are changed regularly & this year we are featuring “Rocky Mountain Wild", featuring Wildlife Artwork from the Jasper area by artist Tammy Taylor, an exhibition on "Vanishing Glaciers" followed by an Art Exhibition called "Rocks Stars!
