In 1950 the club was reorganized and incorporated under the British Columbia Societies Act as the Ladner Lawn Bowling Club. The Ladner Ladies Lawn Bowling Club was absorbed by the Ladner Lawn Bowling Club in 1972.
The Society of Richmond Children's Centres was founded in 1995 by a small group of community volunteers. The Society opened its first children's centre in Terra Nova in 1996. Since that date, the Society has opened the Cook Road and the Bowling Green Road Children's Centres. A dedicated group of community and family members make up our board of directors and oversee the operation of the Society.
Sunset Lanes is located on E Island Highway in Parksville, B.C., just a 20 minute drive from north of Nanaimo. The installation of new scoring equipment and laminate lanes offers a fresh new look to your bowling experience. The lanes are wheelchair accessible and all lanes are equipped for bumper bowling for young children (and sometimes for adults too). There is a food bar with chicken wings, fries, hot dogs and pizza and a licensed sports lounge with several big screen TV's showing all major sporting events and NASCAR. Cosmic (Glow in the Dark) bowling is offered on the weekends. Call for times and reservations. There is plenty of parking and a family friendly atmosphere. We are providing joyfulness and fitness to Parksville for over 50 years. Just for the fun of it!

The Zone Bowling Centre for many, many years as it is the venue for our annual fundraising bowl-a-thon. We cannot say enough about the team at The Zone who always go above and beyond in helping to make our event more successful year after year. Holding a fundraiser comes with many restrictions and limitations but their facility is wonderful and always accommodating to our needs. Both our participants and volunteers have a wonderful time and working with their staff is an absolute pleasure.
