No matter your story, we welcome you to join us as we all try to be a little bit better, a little bit kinder, a little more helpful—because that’s what Jesus taught. We are a diverse community of followers of Jesus Christ and welcome all to worship here. We fellowship together as well as offer youth and children’s programs.
Jesus Christ can make you a better person. You can make us a better community. Come worship with us. Church services are held every Sunday. Visitors are always welcome.
To glorify God and enjoy Him forever!Mission statement:Go into all the world and preach the gospel! We are a new church with a long history of ministering to the communities around us. In 2009 four local churches with long and fruitful ministries came together to form New Heights Baptist Church. We felt that together God could use us more for the building of His kingdom, than in being separate.
The first Catholics to settle in the Yarmouth area, were a group of French inhabitants of Annapolis Royal (Port Royal), who settled at Chebogue, around 1739. They were attracted by the prospects of good fishing. There was also a settlement of Acadians at Chegoggin, around the same time, but it, like the one at Chebogue, was terminated by the Expulsion of the Acadians in 1755. When writing his History of the County of Yarmouth, in 1876, J.R. Campbell states that there still could be seen remnants of the foundations at both locations.
