SCHSS provides health service to the three rural bands of Coldwater, Nooaitch and Shackan:Coldwater band is the largest of the three bands with a population of 740 members and located 14 kilometers from MerrittNooaitch band is the second largest of the three bands with a population of 197 members and located 23 kilometers from MerrittShackan band is the smallest of the three bands with a population of 114 members and located 48 kilometers from Merritt.

Volunteer Board of Directors in accordance with Part 6 and 7 of the bylaws that state Appointment of DirectorsThe society shall consist of 3-9 Commissioners Each Commissioner to be appointed as a Provincial representative;As a provincial board the representation should consist of a broad base of urban, rural and geographic areas that bring a provincial perspective.Two government ex-officio representatives .The minimum number of directors required for the society to be effective must be three or another number determined from time to time at a general meeting.
Prima Enterprises is a privately operated organization under contract to the B.C. government, through Community Living British Columbia (CLBC) to provide professional services to those referred by CLBC. Our residential programs are licensed through the Ministry of Health under the Community Care & Assisted Living Act and meet or exceed all licensing requirements. Prima receives clients on a referral basis through CLBC and works within a multi-disciplinary team approach.
