Way back in the 1900's John McInnis started a legacy in Prince George. Mr. McInnis was one of the area's first icons - a true pioneer. He arrived in the region in 1910 and he made his mark very quickly. Known as a businessman, politician, and community worker, Mr. McInnis became respected as a good citizen. As a builder, Mr. McInnis constructed some of the earliest establishments in Prince George, and in 1920 he started McInnis Building Supplies, a business that has grown and changed in-step with the community. All along, he remained active in the forming of our city, working tirelessly as a social activist and holding posts in provincial government.
