Suki's has steadfastly remained true to Suki's original vision of excellence and is now recognized internationally for the educational and artistic excellence achieved over the years. The company has now grown from the original five-chair salon to four salons a spa and the Suki's Academy. Suki's now employs 150 talented staff who share a common vision.

IN 1972 SUKI TAKAGI MOVED TO VANCOUVER, purchased a small salon at the site of our current South Granville location and changed the future of Canadian hairdressing. Japanese by birth, Suki began her career in Beverly Hills, studied the craft in Europe, and in 1972 opened her first salon in Vancouver with no clients but a clear vision of what hairdressing could be. The salon was quite literally built one client at a time, through recommendations from clients or people stopping clients on the street to ask them where they had gone to get their hair cut. By focusing on the cut and creating exciting, easy to maintain hair styles Suki's quickly became 'the must see' salon.

Our Academy is fully accredited with PCTIA, the regulatory body for private career training institutions. With our seasoned instructors, you will learn classic and creative precision cutting, beautiful contemporary colour, and sophisticated finishing. Our instructors are all talented senior Suki's staff who upgrade their own skills every year. Even more importantly, Suki's instructors have all undergone intensive training on how to teach.

We are located at 1633 West 2nd Ave., Vancouver, BC. We offer Men's and Women's Hair Style and design cuts, Color, Extensions, Straightening, and more. We believe that simplicity is the essence of beauty.
