We have come every year in December from Hamilton to Simcoe to see the Christmas lights. We stop at the Barrel Restaurant first, and it is a highlight of our trip: excellent food, excellent atmosphere. There is a very large menu, so I know people can order what they want and sometimes get something different from what they want. Suffice to say that I find the Penne Capri on par with meals served in Italy, and my husband and in-laws refuse to order anything other than the lasagna because they enjoy it so much every time. One of the best pizza parlours in st.thomas. Wings are great, and not just because they are literally the biggest wings I have ever seen. With that being said, get the wings double cooked if you are squeamish on the chance of underdone chicken. Staff is always friendly and a lively atmosphere inside. No gimmicks just great food, plain and simple.
