The Deaf Children's Society of BC (DCS) is a not-for-profit agency that provides resources, programs, support and information to families with deaf and hard of hearing children from birth to age five. Using a family-centered approach, the professionals at the Deaf Children's Society offer their expertise and guidance as families navigate through opportunities for speech, language, education and communication.
In 1972 Mabel Dunham of Burnaby received her Bachelor of Education and Adult Education diploma at UBC; she was over sixty years of age at the time. Convinced other people her age would also be interested in furthering their education it became Mabel's mission to structure a self-help college.
RUSART FINE ARTS CO is a private independent art studio operated in Greater Vancouver, since 2009. We offer classes, private lessons, and corporate and family events.
Currently, we teach art classes from 3 locations: professionally equipped art studio in New Westminster, recreational art classes for children at Hamilton Community Center (Richmond), and private art studio in South Surrey.
Now, over 100 students are attending our art classes on weekly basis. For more than 7 years of work, over 800 students have attended our art classes. About 1/3 of our current students are long-term clients, have been taking our lessons for longer than a year. Every fifth student came here by their friend's referral.
All our principal teachers are professional artists and designers with years of experience of teaching arts to both kids and adults.
Also, we offer chess lessons, magic lessons, and drama courses with accent on puppets.

I studied at a university in Kamloops before I took the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine at PCU College. The clinical internships were important because the hands-on learning helps you gain confidence. I am working in a clinic and my career choice has improved my life dramatically!!Read more
