The Wollaston & Limerick Union Public Library opened to the public on January 11, 1973. There are approximately 450 patrons.Since its beginnings, this 'wee library with heart'' has been a valuable resource supporting literacy, employment, local business, health and daily life in the community. The mandate of the Campbellford-Seymour Heritage Society is tofoster an awareness of local history and pride in the heritage of the community of Campbellford/Seymour within the Municipality of Trent Hills.The Heritage Society was founded in January 1983, and affiliationwith the Ontario Historical Society was quickly established. Monthly meetings were initially held in members' homes, at the town council chambers, and at the Campbellford District High School library.

For over 125 years, Bancroft has served as the economic and cultural hub of northern Kossuth County. The Board is appointed by the County of Haliburton under terms outlined in the Act; funding is provided by the County of Haliburton and the Province of Ontario.
