The mosque's congregation and staff have been the subject of numerous television and news features in recent years. The Halton Mosque was built in the early 90's and is the only one in the city of Burlington. As a result of a growing community the structure can no longer accommodate our needs. We need a new Islamic Community centre that will accommodate our growing community and provide us with an Islamic School for our future generations.

Al Huda International is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-political organization currently working to promote authentic Islamic education. Al Huda Institute Canada began its educational program in 2001, and is now an established institute providing structured courses for people from all walks of life.
