Red Guitar is an independently owned Canadian Company based in London Ontario, and takes great pride in teaching folks of all ages from 8 to 88 how to play guitar, one-on-one, live and in person, within the comfortable surroundings of a professional music studio. Even if you've never owned or played a guitar before, everyone feels totally comfortable with the Red Guitar program.
And unique to Red Guitar is The Red Guitar S.T.A.R.T. Program, a customized lesson program which is designed to give you the ability to learn exactly what you want, from a safe and certified instructor, in a fun and encouraging environment. You let us know what bands you like to listen to, who your favourite artists are, what kind of songs you would like to learn and what your musical dreams and goals are. We listen very carefully then design your lessons for you and you only. It's a lot of work for us but it works for the students and they love it.
We are a not-for-profit, federally incorporated educational institution of professional musicians and volunteers that serves its clients through programs of study, training, examination, recognition and performance. Conservatory Canada's roots go back to 1891, when the London Conservatory was first founded. In 1910, the London Conservatory became affiliated with The University of Western Ontario and it became an examining Board. In 1915 that affiliation was dissolved, and in 1919 the Institute of Music Arts was founded (as a teaching institution). In 1922, the London Conservatory and Institute of Musical Arts amalgamated and existed until 1934, when they were incorporated under the name Western Ontario Conservatory of Music. The reach became truly national in 1997 through a merger with The Western Board of Music (established in 1934, serving all of western Canada, and based in Edmonton, Alberta).
When taking lessons from Chris, I am confident that he can teach me any song or riff that I present to him. Chris makes sure that no matter what we work on at lessons, I leave feeling confident in myself and my playing ability, and he always makes sure that I leave with more technical ability than I came to him with.Read more
