I enjoyed my overall experience at Northern Variety. They make great food, the poutine was my favourite. The service was prompt and with a smile and there were wonderful crafts and such to look at while you waited. Oh, and I can't forget about the coffee, it was delicious as well!!! I was in the community of Blind River this summer and went for chips one day and , happened upon this cute little store - The birch tree. They have the cutest little brick a bracts. Nothing was tacky or kitschy, but very aesthetically pleasing, in good taste and best of all at great prices. Also the nicest woman, Sherry ( if I remember correctly) working there. Friendly and knowledgeable she guided us without being pushy. Wonderful candles, picture frames, purses, and other home things. . If you happen to be in the area, I think you would be pleasantly surprised at what you find. I'm not sure if it's an all year round store or just a summer store, but stop in if it's open. T.
