Following a competition in 2012, The Hackney Council Estate Regeneration Team selected David Chipperfield Architects in collaboration with Karakusevic Carson Architects to prepare a design for two towers. The project is part of the Hackney Council Estate Regeneration Team's programme of redevelopment across the borough. The two towers (16 and 20 storeys respectively) contain 198 apartments intended for private sale to help fund the redevelopment of the estate as a whole and the provision of 438 affordable homes.
