She has completed Doctorate and Master’s in Psychology. She is trained in Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), EMDR, Solution focused therapy, Collaborative problem solving (CPS), Multidimensional family therapy, Neuro-sequential model of therapeutics (NMT) by Dr. Bruce Perry and Introductory hypnosis training. Dr Michael Elterman received his PhD in Clinical Psychology in 1980 from Queen's University. He did a Fellowship at the University of Utah Medical Centre and has been Senior Psychologist at Vancouver Health Department and Director of Psychology at Vancouver General Hospital. He has been doing family law assessments for 35 years which is now his primary area of practice. He was Consultant to the Attorney General of BC on family law cases for 20 years. He also does court assessments in some criminal matters and is a Parenting Coordinator and has a number of clients he sees for psychotherapy. He was awarded the status of Fellow by the American College of Forensic Psychology. Dr Elterman is married and has 3 adult sons.
