The Friends of the Library are a dedicated, enthusiastic group of people who value libraries and the services they provide to their community. Through tireless fundraising, the Friends help us to meet our needs in the library. Last year the Friends have allowed us to update our childrens corner with new furniture. This included new couches and chairs, side tables and our new mascot 'Sir Reads Alot' (see our photo gallery for pictures). The friends also helped us to update equipment such as printers and purchase a new children's literacy computer. We also have new display shelves and storage shelving to help keep us organized.
The mission of the Mannville Centennial Public Library is to establish, provide and promote modern library resources in print, non-print and electronic media, and services necessary to meet the evolving educational cultural, recreational and informational needs of the public. The library shall use these means to promote and enlighten it's patrons and enrich personal lives.

Excellent on all counts! The fee for a family library card is completely reasonable and it gives you access to books and media from across Alberta-even material from universities can be ordered! All shipped to Wainwright free of charge.
The library does great things for our community! Displays local art, provides free computers/Wifi. Children get free drop-in programs all year, with special inexpensive programs in the summer. Often collaborates with other community organizations to help kids.Read more
