Slater's as been our favourite meat market for the last decade....(my dad had a butcher shop in Pittsburgh...his biggest sellers were his home-made sausage. Slater's quality meats are in the same GREAT category).

LOVE! with so many options for Chinese in Victoria, you can't go wrong with Sampan Express. If you are looking for table side service, linen, candle light, may be a bottle of wine.....etc.. this would NOT be the place for you . They aren't the best but hey.... for around 10 bucks a head you get a decent meal , I had a 3 items combo from their hot table for just $9.25 + tax. my girlfriend Linda had a wonton soup......best wonton.....said Linda. Their pre-Covid buffet was not huge, but the assortment was very very good and the quality was excellent and always fresh, being constantly renewed. Since Covid, we have been getting their take-out and it has never disappointed us. We always get too much and we really enjoy having the leftovers for breakfast the next day.
