LOVE! with so many options for Chinese in Victoria, you can't go wrong with Sampan Express. If you are looking for table side service, linen, candle light, may be a bottle of wine.....etc.. this would NOT be the place for you . They aren't the best but hey.... for around 10 bucks a head you get a decent meal , I had a 3 items combo from their hot table for just $9.25 + tax. my girlfriend Linda had a wonton soup......best wonton.....said Linda. The Sweet and Sour Pork, Chicken Chow Mein and the Almond Chicken are without a doubt delicious! If you love Ginger fried beef, trust me Szechuan Palace is the place to go. The beef and broccoli is good; however, it would taste better without the ginger. The meal overall was sizzling with flavor. If you are in the mood for Chinese, I would definitely recommend Szechuan Palace.
