Pure Dance Academy came into being when a group of like-minded individuals joined in the purpose of creating a great place to dance. This new studio they said. Would have to be approachable and warm, have a family-friendly environment, a strong focus on technique and have a fun approach to choreography. These visionaries wanted to make a studio in Chatham-Kent that cared about the person first. With hard work and dedicated effort, the Pure Dance Studio was produced. And with your involvement this dream is being achieved! It is with great pride and pleasure that we announce the induction of Mr. K. Hakim to knight of The Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta. Thereafter having the title Sir Karim Hakimi.The celebration of Sir Karim Hakimi's knighthood took place in the evening of June 24th, 2005 at Queen's Park Toronto, Ontario's Parliament Hall. This great honour has been bestowed upon Sir Karim Hakimi for his many generous contributions such as donating hundreds of thousands of pairs of eyeglasses to people in less fortunate countries. And most recently, participating in Ride for Sight in support of The Foundation Fighting Blindness.When a man as busy as Sir Hakimi makes time to help in humanitarian efforts, it is worthy of our admiration and congratulations to Sir Hakimi for doing a wonderful job.Hakim Optical began more than 40 years ago with Mr. Hakim grinding lenses for the Canadian wholesale market.
