Welcome TO THE PORT CLEMENTS MUSEUMThe little village of Port Clements nestles beside an inlet on the misty and distant Queen Charlotte Islands, whichhad its name officially changed to Haida Gwaii in 2010. Port Clements has been settled and developed only veryrecently as far as history goes, almost within living memory. The artifacts of pioneer life still exist here and theyhave been donated to the village museum where they form a unique glimpse of life as it once was. The museum is operated by the Port Clements Historical Society. The Society was formed in 1985 and aftercountless volunteer hours the museum opened its doors in 1987. The indoor and outdoor displays are opendaily to the public from June to September and on weekends for the remainder of the year. The archives arenot open to the public but arrangement can be made with the archivist for access to items. Tours are always welcome and arrangements can be made for special openings.
