The staff and cooks are amazingly friendly people and the coffee was fantastic, with their attention to cleanliness in their dinning area I was thoroughly impressed! However that was the highlight of my breakfast experience at this little dinner style country restaurant.
The food was adequate when I ordered steak and eggs I was expecting my steak grilled but sadly it was "pan fried" or how us in the biz would call it slapped on the griddle with a little too much butter and not enough seasoning.
The eggs were great light fluffy golden scrambled perfection and the "home fries" were fried with little to be desired in the way of seasonings or wow factor.
My toast wasn't bad but would have liked them better if I had real butter and a little crisper.
My coffee was freakishly good with a round finish at the end that didn't leave a bitter metallic taste as so many do when brewed improperly which is far too often these days.
But the staff were amazingly nice and our party enjoyed their hospitality which made up for anything else that was lacking that morning.
My final thoughts are...........................if they could improve on a few key items like the "home fries" and maybe finding a cast iron grill to place atop the griddle it would give those steaks and burgers that grilled look and taste and make allot of difference.
I would try this restaurant again for lunch or dinner to give it a fair chance as maybe they're were having an off day so we will revisit this little dinner again the next time we happen to stop in and see if thing's have changed.Read more
