Established in December 2015, Coastal Rivers Pet Hospital began as an amalgamation of two long standing local veterinary clinics, Whatcom Road Vet Hospital and Abbotsford Veterinary Hospital. Growing from our strengths of a strong background in patient care, including not only dogs and cats but a variety of small pets, Coastal Rivers has grown to include a staff of approximately 30 veterinarians and support staff. We provide all of the "routine" vet services (wellness care, vaccinations, spay/neuter, routine surgeries), plus a lot more. We have veterinarians trained in orthopedic procedures including bone plating, which allows us to offer not only fracture repair beyond the regular pins and wires, but also plating of complex fractures and the performance of TPLO, MPL correction and CBLO. Our vets with an interest in "exotic" pets help take care of a wide variety of animals including, but not limited to: rats, snakes, spiders, rabbits, lizards, birds, and fish.

The Fraser Valley Travel Clinic (FVTC) mandate is to promote safe and healthy travel. We are a Public Health Agency of Canada approved Designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre. Our vaccines are received directly from the manufacturer and are stored in specially monitored state-of-the-art vaccine refrigerators - this ensures 100% cold chain compliance. Travel medicine is a rapidly growing medical specialty which changes with each minute. We spend approximately 3 hours a day (1000 hours a year) keeping up-to-date with international related health issues. We often receive over 200 emails per day from around the world. They are carefully scrutinized and organized and become an integral part of the printed reports we prepare for travellers.
