we're a casual organization of people who like to ride our motorcycles and maybe do a little socializing (or a lot of socializing, if you like). As a Chapter Member, you'll have the chance to meet other people who are interested in riding; we have more than 150 members so you are likely to find someone that you like to ride with. Here, in the following pages of our new website, you'll get more of an idea about us and what we do.Our Chapter meets on the last Thursday of every month @ 7:00 p.m., at Smitty's Restaurant (2835 Pembina Highway). The meetings are generally short, informative and fun. Come out and join us for one of our meetings or rides ... get to know some of our members ... take advantage of all that our Chapter has to offer!Cheers,
The Artful Owl uses art history as its starting point for the exploration of various methods and mediums in art making. The goal of the classes is to instill visual literacy in the participants through experiential learning in art history. The classes will be geared to many learning styles; the goal is to create and enjoy the world of art.The Artful Owl will give participants the tools they need to understand their world visually and to think creatively when solving problems as the ability to think creatively is a very important skill which participants will apply throughout their lives.

Join Our NewsletterHistory Of The OrganizationIn 1971 a group of parents from the community formed a play group for their children aged 2yrs to 5 yrs. They used space in a local church for three mornings a week. Program materials were mostly on a donation basis plus a small fee collected from the parents registered in the program. Teachers were provided on a volunteer basis - each parent taking a turn on a rotational basis. This play school operated successfully and within one year had expanded from three morning sessions with 12 children attending to three morning sessions and three afternoon sessions with 20 children attending each half day session. In 1972 the parents decided to become a legal entity. The parents had always operated co-operatively and so decided to form a co-operative organization and became known as West End Co-operative Nursery School Inc. The founding members are Margaret Black, Maxine Kemp and Adrianne Bride. This group of parents became highly active in the community and branched into such areas as a full time day care, lunch and after school programs and community resource.
