Designers source the region to find beautiful and unique fabrics every season and work closely with the artists and artisans on new and interesting methods of production to bring you fun, funky and irresistible clothing and accessories.Most garments are made up of a combination of hand-dyed and block printed fabrics sewn together in a plethora of patterns, then embroidered and applique'd individually by hand to form clothing and accessories that is 'wearable art'. No two pieces will ever be exact as every one flows through the hands and care of a variety of talented artists and artisans.

les amis du FROMAGE was founded by mother and daughter Alice and Allison Spurrel. They have been in business together since 1985 when they formed their sucessful catering company The Menu Setters. The catering company evolved into The Cheese Shop @ The Menu Setters, and eventually into les amis du FROMAGE as we know and love today.

The Spirit of the Island represents our philosophy of serving fresh local West Coast cuisine and in house hand crafted ales and lagers nestled within beautiful landscaping and natural west coast wilderness. The Longwood Brew Pub is central Vancouver Island's only Brew Pub and Nanaimo's favorite rendezvous destination. Our traditional ales are hand drawn using classic original English beer engines and are served at a cellar temperature of 10 Centigrade (50 F.) while out cold ales and lagers are served out of our custom ceramic beer towers at 5 Centigrade (40 F.) These serving methods and temperatures allow our patrons to enjoy our beers in the manner and temperature that they were meant to be.

Lusso Our philosophy of improving lifestyles for parents includes education and networking. To offer our valued customers and members of the community access to the best resources in our area, we host workshops on car seat safety, sleep, health, nutrition, and more. Lusso Baby also hosts networking events and seasonal special events as opportunities arise.
