It specializes in both Northern Chinese and Cantonese cuisine, and is well-known for its preparation of seafood in both traditional and exotic styles. Over the years, Kirin has put in endless efforts to expand its client base. Among them are head of states, politicians, personnel from consulate general offices of foreign countries, senior executives of large international corporations, and celebrities such as movie stars and sport superstars. The efforts of Kirin have been well-rewarded: it received the Certificate of Entrepreneurial Achievement issued by the Government of British Columbia in 1991 for its contribution to the economic diversification of B.C.
We were a party of 14 and sat in the main restaurant area. The service was excellent. We brought our own wine and paid a low corkage fee. No hard liquor allowed of your own! Our host ordered a set menu and additional dishes. All items were prepared well and tasty excellent. My only comment would be there was two times where the individualized food plates came out too soon and I was still working on my previous dish so the table got crowded. My boyfriend and I had brunch here recently. The service was excellent. The food was the best and displayed very nicely. I would recommend coming here to eat a quality fabulous meal at such an affordable price. Read more
