WTTU Martial Arts-Tricities is part of the American Taekwondo Association (the largest international martial arts organization in the world and the largest single style martial art in North America) with licenced curriculum that constantly upgrades to meet community needs. WTTTU Martial Arts-Tricities has a fully developed Leadership program, a definitive Life Skills curriculum for all age groups (ages 3 to adult), which help improve confidence & school grades, plus regular, ongoing self-defense courses, Fitness and seminars. Curriculum is taught with personal safety and self defense in mind. Additional training in the use of weapons such as Ssahng Jeol Bong-Nunchucku, Bahng Mahng Ee-Single Stick, Jahng Bong-Long Staff and others are taught for local and international tournament competition. All instructors must be certified through a 3 year in house process and all certified instructors must have a criminal records check before certification and are CPR certified.

The mission of RCD is to empower people with disabilities to participate in the community to the level of their desires and abilities by providing information, resources, support and by increasing community awareness and accessibility. To facilitate or undertake projects, such as an information and resource centre, programs or services as may be required to achieve the charitable purposes of the Society. The need for specialized centralized information & resources in this area for people with disabilities was first identified by the RCD in the late 1980's.
