Give your children a gift that will last a lifetime; the gift of dance. At The Happening Dance Company your child can choose from a range of dance styles including: jazz, ballet, tap, contemporary, combo, and hip-hop.
At The Happening, we envision young people as creative individuals capable of beautifully articulate communication through movement.
Our mission is to invest in children and young adults as people first and as dancers second. We encourage young people to develop the technical skills that underlie physical communication, and we expect excellence while nurturing each individual's joy in movement.
We value balance between excellence and achievable expectations, ongoing personal learning, and expansion of artistic boundaries, as well as personal expression through the movement of every unique body.
The Happening Dance is an incredible studio - kids are encouraged and challenged, the teachers push for a high degree of excellence while fostering creativity and confidence! And it is SO MUCH FUN!Read more

GEWC bid a fond farewell to Pauline Jarrett who has been our bookkeeper since July 2008. Pauline presented a Letter of Resignation in December. To express their appreciation the Board of Directors extended Pauline a Christmas 2010 Bonus. Also on behalf of the Board of Directors, she was presented with a small token of appreciation at the last Wednesday Night league gathering, and received warm applause from our members. Pauline remains a member of the Wednesday Ladies league.Marlies Guenther has accepted the position of Bookkeeper starting January 5th. Please welcome her to the GEWC team!Marlies Guenther, I was born in Vancouver and have lived here for most of my life, except for a brief period in the 80's when I lived in Ontario, where a lot of my family is from. I also spent 10 years living on the Sunshine Coast in a small town called Egmont. I now call sunny (!) Port Coquitlam home and have lived here for 3 years. I have spent most of my career in the accounting field and after nearly 20 years of working as an accountant in various industries including manufacturing, heavy equipment, and construction, I decided to start my own bookkeeping business. I truly love what I do and never tire of crunching numbers . When I have free time, I like to spend it outdoors taking in all that the west coast has to offer. I enjoy cooking and entertaining and am passionate about learning and self-improvement. I also love spending time with my 10 month old puppy, Shelby.I am very excited about joining Lynne and the team at the Golden Ears Winter Club. I look forward to learning all about the curling world and meeting the members of the Club.

My daughter has been dancing at Fabulous Feet for the past 7 years. She absolutely loves it and her passion for dance grows each year with the skills and choreography the studio provides. The teachers are kind, supportive, and encouraging. There is a great community feel within the studio including the teachers, students, and parents. Dance has been a little different since the pandemic, but the studio has gone above and beyond with excellent protocols ensuring everyone’s safety and comfort. IRead more
