Dr Daya Gupta, Glaucoma, Cataracts, Laser Eye Surgery
Dr. Gupta is well known as a leader in the community, a champion of eye health, as well as a philanthropist. He is the Chief Eye Surgeon at Gupta Eye Centre in Winnipeg and also the Medical Director for Ultravision Eye Laser Centre. He is known as one of the top cataract surgeon, performing over 45,000 successful cataract surgeries. He also pioneered the outpatient small incision cataract surgery. He was one of the first to open Refractive Eye Surgery Clinic in Manitoba and has been awarded numerous prestige awards, including the iCare Award, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee, & Physician of the Year Award in 2011.He also has been honored by various organizations including CNIB, ICCHA, Hindu Society of Manitoba, Vedanta Society of Winnipeg, Manitoba Association of Asian Physicians, and more. Dr's Daya and Chander Gupta believe in the principal of philanthropy.Their contribution included legacy gifts to CNIB, as well as to the Hindu Society of Manitoba, and instituted several scholarships and awards. Dr's Daya and Chander Gupta have been blessed with two children. Their son is a well-known plastic surgeon in San Diego, and their daughter is an Obstetrician & Gynecologist.
