What Our District Is All HistoryThe Pembina Valley Conservation District (PVCD) was officially established by Order In Council (cabinet resolution) on October 2, 1989, after four years of negotiations between local municipalities. The original members were the Rural Municipalities of Lorne, Louise, Pembina and Thompson; they have since been joined by the villages/towns of Crystal City, Manitou, Pilot Mound, Cartwright and Morden (2007) and the RM of Roblin (1997) and the RM of Stanley (2003). Pembina Valley was the sixth CD to be formed in Manitoba since 1972, there have since been twelve more additions.The primary reasons for forming the Pembina Valley Conservation District involved concerns with the loss of valuable topsoil through wind and water erosion in the area. Water shortages for local farmers, and erosion of municipal roads, have also been persistent problems. This includes (and may not be limited to) networking, training, project evaluations, policies, standards, guidelines, future funding and renewal decisions.Membership on the MAHSC comes from a locally determined process from each Manitoba project, where one member from each funded project is selected.

Lori's areas of expertise are in Orthopedic and sports injuries.Lori has completed post graduate courses in the Advanced Orthopedic level system through the National Orthopedic Division. She has completed courses in Sports First Responder, prevention of running injuries, Myofascial release, acute athletic injury management, and is certified to do Acupuncture.Lori has over 10 years experience working and volunteering at various sporting events in Manitoba. These sporting events include: Head trainer at the St. Vital Mustangs Football Club, the Manitoba Marathon, Western Canadian Hockey and ringette championships, track and field, figure skating, and MHSAA volleyball championships.
