My son has been a student at Hy Notes for several years. He is very happy with his Teacher and the progress he has made has been excellent! Hy Notes is an Amazing School with very qualified Teachers and Staff. It has a wide variety of services to offer. The school is in a wonderful building and easy accessible location. At Elva’s Piano Studio I offer professional level lessons with a personal touch. Private lessons for ages 5+ are available along with Royal Conservatory of Music piano exam and music theory exam preparation. I truly believe that all students benefit from music lessons regardless if their goal is to attain a high standing with the RCM or if they’re learning for personal development & enjoyment. I follow the RCM curriculum & methodology as it’s the best route to develop an in-depth understanding & appreciation of music. Lessons are customized to individual students based on learning styles - various teaching techniques are used. I have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo & I’m a RCM Certified Teacher (Elementary/Intermediate/Advanced Specialist) teaching beginner level up to Grade 8.
