I am excited to offer private and group music classes including Music for Young Children. MYC is such a wonderful program! It is a comprehensive approach to teaching children the "happy habit of music-making", teaching them to read music and to play piano by ear. Children will experience at an early age the joy that comes from music-making: being part of a band, playing piano and using their voice to develop musical skills. My love of music-making began as a child and grew as I did. I played piano and clarinet in bands, small ensembles and the Ottawa Youth Orchestra while studying with professional musicians from the National Arts Centre Orchestra. My love of music inspired me to want to help others to experience the unique benefits music can provide and led me into post-secondary music studies. I completed my Honours Bachelor of Music Therapy degree at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo and enjoyed playing in a semi-professional orchestra. Sharing music is sharing joy.
