Once you wash off the paint it helps with sensitive skin to moisturize afterwards, because the paint can tend to dry out your skin. If you want to keep the painted design on for the next day, don't wash the area and sleep on the other side. We all know how kids love to show off their face to their friends at school the next day. It will fade a little but majority of it will still be there in the morning.
