With a beautiful clubhouse that overlooks the forested fairways and practice areas, Seymour provides North Shore and Lower Mainland groups with catering for special events such as tournaments, meetings, and weddings. Seymour is also open for public dining on Mondays, so our neighbours may come in and enjoy a taste of what membership provides.

We intend to engage and empower the community through a number of activities, including guided walks through local Vancouver neighborhoods that focus on birds and their habitats. We will also conduct workshops about art and how its can help people gain a greater understanding of our local ecology. We anticipate that through a program of research, outreach, and education, that people will start to take into account non-human uses of the city. Jesse Garbe, MFAJesse Garbe is a Sessional Instructor and Alumni of Emily Carr University of Art + Design. In 2008, he also graduated from NSCAD University's MFA Program, where he received the Joseph Beuys Memorial Award. Jesse's recent work examines our relationship with nature. It puts forward the idea that paintings, diagrams, taxidermy and other visual aids play a significant role in how we understand animals, plants and their habitats.

Once a strawberry farm owned by the Chinese, Hackers has been a haven for a long time. The Chaplin family bought the land in 1976; ten and a half acres of beautiful green earth, to mold and shape into a golf course. John and Helen Kastelein purchased the course in 1981 and established the Hackers Haven name. At a starting rate of a $1.50 for adults and a $1 for kids, it has come along way and gone through many changes to become what we now enjoy.
