Camperville is located on the west shore of Lake Winnipegosis. The northern boundary of the community is formed by Pine Creek First Nation and the eastern boundary by the lake of Winnipegosis. To the southwest, the community is bordered by the rural municipality of Mountain. Camperville is about 37 km east by road from Cowan, and 51 km north of Winnipegosis.
The Rural Municipality of Swan River, with 2,784 residents, lies East of the Saskatchewan border, forming a valley between the Duck and Porcupine Mountains, and has within its borders the Town of Swan River; Villages of Benito and Bowsman; and Hamlets of Durban and Kenville.

Included within our RM is the hamlet of Fenton and the organized hamlets of Brancepeth and Hagen which AMALGAMATED AND DISSOLVED forming a part of the RM of Birch Hills.

The Current boundaries of the Rural Municipality of Winchester were established in 1901 and include Townships 1 through 4 of Ranges 22 and 23WPM which tallied to an area of 288 square miles. The Rural Municipality of Winchester boasts a variety of socioeconomic lifestyles. From the resort area which includes Lakes Metigoshe, Hasselfield and Dromore to the rich agricultural sector, to its ever expanding oil industry, the Municipality has something to offer everyone.
