We are a non-denominational, Christ-centered, Bible-believing church that seeks to meet according to the principles set down for the church in the New Testament. Although independent there are thousands of assemblies similar to ours functioning throughout the world. We hold to the historic truths of the Christian faith as revealed in the New Testament

Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are considered houses of God, a place of holiness and peace separate from the preoccupations of the world. They provide a place where Church members make formal promises and commitments to God. They are also the place where the highest sacraments of the faith occur — the marriage of couples and the "sealing" of families for eternity. Temples serve as the only place where ceremonies such as baptism and eternal marriage can be performed on behalf of those who have died. Temples point Latter-day Saints to Jesus Christ and their eventual life with Him.

The Feast of the Ascension of our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ is celebrated each year on the fortieth day after the Great and Holy Feast of Pascha (Easter). Since the date of Pascha changes each year, the date of the Feast of the Ascension also changes. The Feast is always celebrated on a Thursday, however many Parishes move the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord Jesus to their Sunday liturgy to gather more of the community into the celebration. The Feast itself commemorates Christ making His last appearance to his disciples on earth, forty days after His Resurrection from the dead. Jesus appeared before the disciples, and after blessing them and encouragingthem not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Holy Spirit, His body ascended into heaven to His kingly throne at the right Hand of God the Father. With the Feast of the Ascension, Jesus sends his disciples out into the world to proclaim the Good News, and each of us is included in this mission.
