The origins of our parish date back to 1861 when Bishop Tache built a small schoolhouse on the east side of the Red River and entrusted it to the Grey Nuns, who then had a small chapel built inside the school. Since then we've grown to become a diverse community that includes the parish, a daycare, nursery school and the largest Catholic co-educational school in the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, St. Maurice.

The Webmaster Nestled among schools and homes in a vibrant corner of Windsor Park, St. Bartholomew currently has a parish membership of 170 familes. The church has a new spiritual leader, Rev. ''This has installed parishioners with a renewed engergy for our many outreach programs,'' stated Rev. Deacon Helen Hunter. ''The Food Depot for Winnipeg Harvest is just one of so many outreach programs. We also have a companion parish in Ugand,a support the efforts of the Primatés World Relief and Development Fund, and work in the area of social justice, amont other initiatives,'' continued Hunter.
