The College of Health and Care Professionals of BC regulates nine health professions to ensure practitioners provide safe, ethical, and high-quality care, thereby protecting public health and well-being.

The CDI College Richmond campus is located at 180-4351 No 3 Road in the heart of beautiful Richmond, British Columbia. We work with the 15 health and human service programs at UBC to develop learning experiences that give students from different disciplines opportunities to learn about, from and with each other. We also collaborate with the British Columbia health authorities, other post-secondary institutions, as well as national and international organizations working towards interprofessional education and collaboration.

The College of Dental Surgeons of BC assures British Columbians of professional standards of oral health care, ethics and competence by regulating dentistry in a fair and reasonable manner. We fulfill our mission statement by setting requirements to practice; establishing, monitoring and enforcing standards of conduct and care; and, where necessary, disciplining registrants; as well as monitoring the continuing education of more than 3,300 dentists and 6,600 CDAs working in B.C.

In 1972 Mabel Dunham of Burnaby received her Bachelor of Education and Adult Education diploma at UBC; she was over sixty years of age at the time. Convinced other people her age would also be interested in furthering their education it became Mabel's mission to structure a self-help college.
