My one and only destination for cupcakes! Too many flavours to choose from keep me coming back once a week for almost 2 years now! After searching for what seemed like years, for a good cupcake bakeshop, I stumbled upon Short & Sweet and the tart yet sweet Key-Lime cupcake that made me a believer. It all started with a mini cupcake sample that they so generously provide to all (to get you hooked!) and that small taster turns into a dangerous addiction! SO many great flavours and helpful staff definitely don't hurt and the product is truly amazing. The place actually smells like fresh baked goods and icing sugar!! I mean, common, who doesn't feel weak in the knees after a whiff of fresh baked cupcakes!

Madeleines Cherry Pie and Ice Cream Parlour, located just south of Dupont Street, is a dessert spot and cafe that specializes in cakes, pies, jams and ice-cream, soups, salads and sandwiches. There's seating inside for about 15-20. They can also design cakes for your special occasions. Brunch is also available on weekends from 9:00am. The staff is friendly and there's a garden patio for enjoying your treats in summer.
