Before immigrating to Canada, I had been a medical doctor in two countries for over ten years. Regardless of the circumstances of time and place, the psychological well-being of my clients has always been a priority to me. Throughout my life journey, I have had a passion for working with psychological as well as psychiatric conditions. Moreover, I have always believed that it is crucial for therapists to work on their own issues and understand themselves prior to helping others. Thus, I have constantly been working on myself both professionally and personally.
As such, for me becoming a psychotherapist in Canada seems to be a natural continuation of my health care professional's career. I graduated from City University of Seattle (Vancouver Campus) with the Master's Degree in Counselling.

I first started counseling at the Toronto East General Hospital Walk-in Crisis Centre in 1981, and have continued learning ever since. I've had plenty of academic training, at three different schools--York University in Toronto, Memorial University of Newfoundland, and Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. Much of that training involved discussing clients with senior clinical psychologists.
