In September 2011, we embarked on our next adventure by opening our doors to the world of music. September 2013 saw us add acting and drama classes to our schedule in addition to our Broadway Bound Theatre Production Company.We specialize in educating young dancers, musicians and actors in technique and appreciation of the arts as well as encouraging personal/group responsibility, a healthy lifestyle and community involvement. Positive motivation combined with teaching styles that are nurturing and supportive are the hallmarks of Rising Star.Rising Star Academy of Arts provides current and effective teaching methods through continuing educational experiences in provincial and national dance, music and theatre centres.

The Centre's Director/Curator programs all exhibitions and related or adjunct events (performances, readings, lectures, projects) with the input of an Advisory Panel. One slot each year is reserved for exhibition proposals brought to the attention of the Director/Curator through the Centre's open submission policy.

Aceart is an Artist Run Centre dedicated to the development, exhibition and dissemination of contemporary art by cultural producers. aceartinc. maintains a commitment to emerging artists and recognizes its role in placing contemporary artists in a larger cultural context. aceartinc. is dedicated to cultural diversity in its programming and to this end encourages applications from all contemporary artists and curators including those identifying as members of GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered), Aboriginal (status, non-status, Inuit and Metis) and all other culturally diverse communities.

Shaman is an Aboriginal artist-run centre dedicated to meeting the needs of artists by providing a vehicle for artistic expression in all disciplines and at all levels by taking a leadership role in the cultivation of Indigenous art.VISIONUrban Shaman presents contemporary Indigenous Aboriginal art with integrity while remaining rooted in our diverse Aboriginal cultures.MANDATEUrban Shaman Contemporary Aboriginal Art is a nationally recognized leader in Aboriginal arts programming and one of the foremost venues and voices for Aboriginal art in Canada. Our focus on developing new programming and new ways of presenting it, have resulted in increased exposure and the expansion of our activities.
