We are dedicated to the advancement of interprofessional education and interprofessional collaboration. We work with the 15 health and human service programs at UBC to develop learning experiences that give students from different disciplines opportunities to learn about, from and with each other. We also collaborate with the British Columbia health authorities, other post-secondary institutions, as well as national and international organizations working towards interprofessional education and collaboration.

The College of Health and Care Professionals of BC regulates nine health professions to ensure practitioners provide safe, ethical, and high-quality care, thereby protecting public health and well-being.

The College of Dental Surgeons of BC assures British Columbians of professional standards of oral health care, ethics and competence by regulating dentistry in a fair and reasonable manner. We fulfill our mission statement by setting requirements to practice; establishing, monitoring and enforcing standards of conduct and care; and, where necessary, disciplining registrants; as well as monitoring the continuing education of more than 3,300 dentists and 6,600 CDAs working in B.C.

Identity Statement Columbia Bible College is located in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, and provides faith formation and professional ministry preparation for Christians of all ages as well as supports the churches of the region in the fulfillment of their mission. The College provides both formal and non-formal learning opportunities alongside its role as a resource center for theological information in the region. Theologically, CBC is evangelical Anabaptist and is operated by two regional Mennonite conferences, British Columbia Mennonite Brethren and Mennonite Church British Columbia. Columbia is accredited by the international Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE), and is registered with the British Columbia Private Career Training Institution Association (PCTIA). Confession of faith The Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches Confession of Faith and Mennonite Church Canada Confession of Faith have been adopted by the college. Affiliation Columbia Bible College represents the cooperative endeavour of the BC Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches and the Mennonite Church in BC. The school exist primarily to under gird the ministry of the local church and is dependent upon its support, counsel and prayers. It seeks to understand and incorporate into its program and life the Bible-based Anabaptist heritage of its supporting churches. In this orientation Columbia finds its main challenge and chief distinctive.

In 1972 Mabel Dunham of Burnaby received her Bachelor of Education and Adult Education diploma at UBC; she was over sixty years of age at the time. Convinced other people her age would also be interested in furthering their education it became Mabel's mission to structure a self-help college.

These are challenging times, yet exciting times for our Continuing Education operation. With the continued downsizing of other Continuing Education programs throughout the Lower Mainland, our Fall course catalogue is now the largest and most complete in the province. Our home delivery distribution area for the course catalogue is also the largest in B.C., reaching homes in Abbotsford, Aldergrove, Langley, Cloverdale, South Surrey, and White Rock. This Fall 2010 course book is full of exciting new courses and Certificate Programs. We have also just become an official Microsoft I.T. Academy, which means that all our Microsoft courses now use official curriculum and testing options, allowing our students to achieve valuable, Microsoft Certifications, recognized world-wide. We have also become an official Microsoft Exam Provider and Testing Centre. In addition, our computer training lab will have brand new, state of the art, computers for the Fall term. Other exciting news includes a brand new C.E. teaching classroom in the Sedco Building in central Langley, which will become home for daytime courses, including the Dental Receptionist Program.
