In 1972 Mabel Dunham of Burnaby received her Bachelor of Education and Adult Education diploma at UBC; she was over sixty years of age at the time. Convinced other people her age would also be interested in furthering their education it became Mabel's mission to structure a self-help college.

This Fall 2010 course book is full of exciting new courses and Certificate Programs. We have also just become an official Microsoft I.T. Academy, which means that all our Microsoft courses now use official curriculum and testing options, allowing our students to achieve valuable, Microsoft Certifications, recognized world-wide. We have also become an official Microsoft Exam Provider and Testing Centre. In addition, our computer training lab will have brand new, state of the art, computers for the Fall term. Other exciting news includes a brand new C.E. teaching classroom in the Sedco Building in central Langley, which will become home for daytime courses, including the Dental Receptionist Program. Register early, it's going to be a very busy Fall term!

The Deaf Children's Society of BC (DCS) is a not-for-profit agency that provides resources, programs, support and information to families with deaf and hard of hearing children from birth to age five.
