The intention of the Ferry Building Gallery is to enliven, enrich, engage, inform and educate the public by presenting a diversity of stimulating and high quality juried exhibits and displays which maintain a standard of excellence.The mandate is to support the development of emerging and established North Shore artists, and create and provide art lectures, tours and programs which reflect the cultural diversity of the North Shore Community and provide a range of enriching experiences.

Music, literature, performing arts and visual arts are all served within the Arts Council Mission Statement: 'To engage, energize, educate and enrich the cultural life of the Oceanside community.'
