Wesway was incorporated in 1973 by a small group of volunteers from the Wesley and Wayside United churches. Although Wesway is no longer formally affiliated with the original church groups, our name still honours the tremendous contributions of our early volunteers.Wesway's respite services are available in northwestern Ontario, along the corridors of Highway's 11 and 17 from the Manitoba border to Manitouwadge. The services Wesway can offer to families varies depending on the location. Wesway's goal is to provide quality respite care to families throughout the communities we serve.
Wesway Wesway provides respite services that help family caregivers take a short break when they need it. Shelter House provides short-term relief to those in need of shelter, food, clothing and access to resources to support their transition toward successful independent living.Shelter House also forges community links, identifies gaps in service currently being provided for its clients by the community and acts as an advocate for change.
