The restaurant is located in South Granville and is a great pre-theatre or post shopping meeting place. The dishes are rustic and down home comfort food with creative twists. By emphasising local ingredients and traditional southern fare the Ouisi offers the flavours and excitement of New Orleans, presented without pretension in a warm, engaging atmosphere. This is my favourite restaurant. period. I don't get the chance to travel to Vancouver much but we've debated flying in just for dinner at Ouisi. There isn't a thing on the menu you should not order. Great portion sizes, great flavours - I crave them while back home in Ontario. Read more
The Oakwood Canadian Bistro is a fun and unpretentious neighbourhood room specializing in down-to-earth Canadian fare and casual service. The bistro welcomes with a chic Canadian log cabin feel, while the name pays homage to the reclaimed wood materials used in the space, as well as Kitsilano's tree-themed street names. The concept for the Oakwood Canadian Bistro was drawn from classic French bistros, in which families invited the public into their homes to eat simply prepared, locally grown food in a warm, casual setting. Striving to utilize local, Canadian ingredients whenever possible, Executive Chef Michael Robbins and his team are guided by a food philosophy focused on fresh, house-made dishes influenced by French techniques. The small, seasonally changing menu caters to market availability and the sustainability of the products.
Going along Broadway I have noticed the restaurant many times and finally decided to drop in for brunch to give it a go. We sat outside, we didn't mind waiting for a table there. Service was fine and the food came fairly soon. I had an excellent smoked ham benedict which came with cubed fries and a very fresh salad. Read more

Named after the Bimini Islands in the Bahamas, Bimini's first opened its doors in 1974 after being granted the Province's first Neighborhood Pub license. The busy bar was quickly embraced by the post Summer of Love-era hippie locals; environmental agency Greenpeace's head office was across the street, and many of their radical plots were hatched in strategy meetings over pints at Bim's.
