With 180º views of Vancouver, from the bustling Port to the green belt of Stanley Park, no other restaurant in North Vancouver gets you this close to the water. PIER 7 is built on the boardwalk of the historic Victory Shipyards in the revitalized waterfront of the Lonsdale Quay area. The restaurant is open 7 days a week for lunch, brunch, and dinner, with ocean view dining on two levels and outdoor dining featuring a fireplace and comfortable seating on two patios. Executive Chef Dino Renaerts has created a menu that is seafood focused, with an emphasis on boat-to-table choices, and seasonal offerings of meat and poultry. Fishworks is a seafood restaurant that utilizes the bounty of fresh seafood from our unique and celebrated West Coast. Timeless classics are featured as well as contemporary, modern cuisine. Fishworks, located in a heritage building just up the hill from North Vancouver's revitalized waterfront, is alive with bustling energy. It has become an environment which is both warm and welcoming with vaulted ceilings and careful attention to detail. The design along with the simple, yet elegant decor creates an atmosphere which is second to none. Chef Shallaw's cuisine is truly "Westcoast" in its style in that it combines influences from all over the world with the freshest of local produce available to us. Some of his best examples include his Sablefish marinated in Sake-kasu and his Haida Gwaii Halibut specials (when in season, only) sauced with an Indian Raita, or a south-western salsa.

Ontario's preeminent purveyor of oysters, shellfish and seafood. Rodney Clark, aka 'The Urban Oysterman,' has been serving the very best of the sea since 1987. Visit www.rodneysoysterhouse.com for a list of seasonal items we see over the course of a calendar year.
I try and hit up Rodney's whenever I am in Van.
Located on trendy Hamilton St. it's got some serious character. Sit at the bar for a great view of the oyster shucking and some lively chat with the bartenders. Staff is friendly with plenty of personality. They have an oyster happy hour 4-6pm (if I remember correctly) where it's half price oysters. And seeing as many of the oysters and ingredients come right out of the ocean around BC the food is beyond fresh.
And in case you were wondering, this place has the best selection of oysters I have seen yet. 11 different kinds on the last visit. My favorites being Fanny Bay and Kushi. Good selection of craft beer on tap too.Read more

We had a lovely table by the window so we had a nice view. Overall ambience is very bright and contemporary. To our benefit the restaurant was not that busy on a weeknight and we parked very close. The service was very good. We enjoyed their daily flatbread special and crab cakes to start. For our mains we went with halibut and osso bucco, both too were very good and cooked just right. And to finish went with a delicious choco molten cake just perfect to share. Read more

I don't think you can go wrong with that place. I went there for my birthday, best service I had and how great to enjoy the melody of the piano in the background. The filet mignon was great and I can't wait to try the oysters and hopefully I get lucky enought to sit on the roof top patio during summer! Read more
