The owners, Peter, Van and Dan have experimented and perfected their recipes, making sure each dish is done just right. Peter, Van and Dan wanted to carry on the family tradition but they had a new vision. Burgoo came to life because we believe everyone needs a little comfort and a place to enjoy some great comfort food. No matter what the season is, a tiny bit of comfort can go a long way to making someone's day more satisfying.We felt that creating an old-world, countryside ambience in our locations - through earth tones, natural finishes and materials - would harken back to a simpler time. We hope we've achieved that in some small way and trust that all those who come here experience Burgoo's essence.

The Reef Restaurant opened to critical acclaim in May of 1999. Founded by Liz da Mata and Simon Cotton, their long-term friendship and collective work experience has translated into a friendly atmosphere that can be felt the moment you enter their cozy island environment. The restaurant is decorated with rich, warm colours & textures native to the Caribbean Islands, providing an ambience that critics and guests have said "it's truly like being there!" The Reef prides itself on customer service and distinctive Caribbean cuisine in a casual atmosphere. The restaurant is fully licensed and serves typical Caribbean drinks such as Red Stripe beer and Dragon Stout.

Anatoli Souvlaki was opened by Helen & Thomas in the spring of 1984. They had a dream of combining the food of Greece with great service to add some Mediterranean style to the North Vancouver restaurant selection. They opened in the sleepy neighbourhood of lower Lonsdale and lived above the restaurant to ensure the quality and service. They were able to create a North Vancouver staple, a successful thriving restaurant based on faithful patrons and a reputation that has been passed through generations. Continuing in this tradition, with the key focus on quality and maintaining their parent's vision, Alexi and Iani have successfully taken over the Anatoli's and have brought the restaurant to a whole new level. Anatoli's is able to deliver the time honoured tradition of friends, family and food. Benefiting from years of experience in Canada and Greece, they combine the core value of home cooked meals and have mastered the perfect concoction of taste and style.
